So many games, such little time

Not like many others out there, I’ve NOT been playing Halo 2 over the weekend. Because I haven’t got it yet. I do want to though… I do, I DO, I DOOOOO! For now then I’ve been playing GTA: San Andreas. Which is very very good. But what’s going on with all the good games coming out at once. OK, maybe because Crimbo is just around the corner, but come on! Use simple gamers don’t have enough hours in the day to be playing all these games.

Other good games to play with mince pie in hand:

…hmmm.. they’re all sequels.

  1. I’ve been trying to get into GTA a bit more but something just isn’t clicking. The biggest thing spoiling my enjoyment at the moment is the darkness of the map – why oh why have they decided to use dark blue dots to show you where you should be going? Okay, so I’ve lost the remote control for my TV and I can’t turn the brightness up but I’ve turned it up to max in the game and I still can’t see what I’m meant to be doing. It makes the vigilante missions suck.

I also can’t quite get over the fact that I feel so guilty when I’ve spent 2-3 hours on my own playing games! I love anything multiplayer (except Halo because you all play it much more than me and therefore kick my ass every time) but I always come away from the PlayStation thinking that I should have been doing something more productive when I’ve been on my own. Ah well, it’s my complex!

Has anyone had a sniff of Mashed yet? Might be good enough for me to invest in a multitap if you and the boys are up for it :o)

  2. I hadn’t heard of Mashed until you mentioned it, so I looked it up – looks like it might be quite good. I’ve got a multitap, so name the day & lets give it a go!

  3. Hey hey you crazy kids! I’ve got Mashed – it is a good giggle for multiplayer action, although very similar to Micro Machines (i.e last person to manage to race off the top of the screen is a sissy), and that’s all there is to it.

You have to play the single player game (or use cheats) to unlock the courses and better weapons, and the single player game is bo-o-o-o-ring.

I got it as a second choice in a game-swap thingy online, but am not necessarily interested in keeping it…any offers?
