lilys.jpgJust a quick one to brighten up the place. Went to get some flowers from a stall on the way home of Friday. The guy was packing up & offered me a whole bunch of Red Lilys for £5. Bargain I thought & took them.

Some woman turned up & tried to buy some of them before they were handed over, but quick thinking flower stall guy told her they we sold to us for £25.

Result!

  1. You have gotta love dodgy traders…

At the Ideal Home show, we (me and the ‘better half’) wanted to buy some garden lanterns marked ‘2 for £10’. However, there were 2 lanterns in the box, so we asked if he could clear up the quantity/price issue…

He wanted us to take 2 boxes of 2 for a tenner – until we said we wanted to look at some out of the box before we bought. The slightest whiff of doubt, and he was on the phone to his gaffer, then the price went up to £10 for one box!

    Meatheads!

  2. See! Nobody would do that in NZ! We’re all REALLY honest…honest!

And, if you like flowers my friend’s parents (Mat, he’s the really HOT friend from Aus) have a place called Wrights Water Gardens (http://www.ubd-online.co.nz/wrightswatergardens/ excuse the nasty website but rest assured the place is pure magic). You can get all the flowers you want there…and they have themed gardens like a Balninese temple…a Japanese pool…a succulent garden..the list goes on.

See, if you and aforementioned lovely laydee moved here you could visit things like that ALL THE TIME!!!!

    Think of the possibilities!!!!
