Trying to find an alternative to an iPod I came across a Toshiba Gigabeat. Looked alright but I couldn’t find any info on the Toshiba web site, so I contacted them via email. This was my reply…
Thank you for your email
We don’t know when, or if, it will be available in the U.K. and for further
information may we suggest you try a search engine such as Google and type
Toshiba gigabeat into the serach criteria box and there you should find the
information you are looking for.Regards

…guess I wont be getting a Gigabeat then.
Lovely. I tried having a quick look for you to see if they were available from eBay etc and the only place I could find them was on Amazon Japan – see http://www.amazon.co.jp/exec/obidos/ASIN/B0000E1VZW/sasakihiroshi-22/ref%3Dnosim/249-0382244-0854757. They have a handy ‘display in English’ button which seems to transform the Japanese text into, erm…Japanese. Best of luck! 🙂
God…I’m sure you can get these in New Zealand. Mat, I really think you and your lovely laydee should come and check it out. Did I mention that NZ is MUCH more friendly than UK? Talk about customer service! They all know your name when you walk into a shop! Not only that but they give you a traditional Maori welcome dance and rub noses with you! Thats comparable to giving you a whopping great pash in UK!! Now that’s what I call friendly. Tempted?
